Wilderness First Aid Training – Api Himal Rural Municipality

Successful Completion of Wilderness First Aid Training – Api Himal Rural Municipality

The three-day Wilderness First Aid Training, jointly organized by the Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP), Sustainable Tourism Project (STP), Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), UNDP, and Api Himal Rural Municipality, was successfully completed in two locations within Api Himal Rural Municipality, Darchula.

The first training was held from 16–18 July 2026 in Khandeshwari, Ward No. 4, followed by the second training from 20–22 July 2026 in Sitti, Ward No. 1, Api Himal Rural Municipality, Darchula.

The closing ceremony was honored by the presence of Mr. Bhakta Singh Thekare Bohora, Chairperson of Api Himal Rural Municipality, as the Chief Guest.

A total of 42 local participants successfully completed the training, including 20 participants from Khandeshwari and 22 participants from Sitti. All participants were awarded certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the training. Each participant also received a First Aid Kit to support emergency preparedness and response within their communities.

Special appreciation goes to our Lead Instructor, Mr. Lokendra Singh Dhami, and Mr. Udayaman Serchan for their outstanding instruction, valuable knowledge, and engaging hands-on practical sessions throughout the training. Their dedication and expertise played a vital role in making this program a great success.
