Porters & Guides Awareness Workshop Held in Banse, Okhaldhunga
A Porters & Guides Awareness Workshop was successfully conducted from 14–16 June 2026 in Khijidemba Rural Municipality–6, Banse, Okhaldhunga District, in collaboration with Khijidemba Rural Municipality and with the participation of 28 local tourism professionals.
The three-day workshop aimed to strengthen the knowledge, practical skills, safety awareness, and professional capacity of local porters and guides. Key areas covered included responsible tourism practices, visitor safety, environmental conservation, and professional conduct, with an emphasis on delivering safe, responsible, and quality tourism services.
The initiative seeks to empower local tourism workers to build sustainable livelihoods while contributing to the development of safe, responsible, and environmentally friendly tourism in the region.
