Empowering Women through Wilderness First Aid Training

Date: September 05, 2026Location: KEEP Office - Kathmandu

Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP), in collaboration with The Porter Voice Collective & Himalayan Women Trail Leaders (HWTL), organized a Wilderness First Aid Training from September 5–7, 2026, to strengthen the skills and confidence of women working in Nepal’s tourism and trekking sector.

The training brought together 16 women tourism workers from remote parts of Nepal, providing practical knowledge in first aid, emergency response, injury management, altitude-related illnesses, and wilderness safety.

Beyond first aid skills, the training empowered participants to respond to emergencies with greater confidence and take on stronger leadership roles in challenging mountain environments.

Stronger Skills. Greater Confidence. Safer Mountains.
