Drinking Water Project in Krishna Secondary School, Banke

Date: March 01, 2026Location: Kohalpur, Banke

The Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP) continues to support local communities through initiatives that improve education, health, and sanitation. One of its recent achievements is the installation of a safe drinking water system at Krishna Secondary School, located in Kohalpur, Banke District, with the generous support of SANTE SANS FRONTIERE (SSF), France. This project provides reliable access to clean drinking water for 1,264 students, teachers, and school staff, helping improve hygiene practices, reduce communicable diseases, and promote better health among children. The availability of safe drinking water has also contributed to increased student attendance and enhanced the overall wellbeing and happiness of younger students. KEEP remains committed to implementing similar community-based projects that support sustainable development and improve the quality of life for local communities.
