KEEP Successfully conducted an Awareness and Sanitation Program on 21th February, 2025 in collaboration with Mangal Secondary school, Balkumari Secondary School, and COTS Nepal Funded by Pokharies, focusing on the waste management, waste segregation and proper waste disposal. This program aims to promote the Minimal Impact Travel following the successful formation of the Eco Club in schools and visit students to Pokhara for awareness and tree plantation Program.
This session aimed to educate students on the importance of responsible waste management and its role in maintaining clean and healthy environment. Following the awareness session, students actively participated in waste collection at public place, demonstrating their commitment to environmental cleanliness. To further encourage proper waste management, we distributed color coded dustbins to the schools, enabling effective waste segregation.
We appreciate the waste enthusiasm and involvement of all local representatives, school teachers and students for participation and look forward to continuing such initiatives to promote sustainable practices within the community.
